‘One Team – Two Councils’

South Norfolk and Broadland District Council are currently investing heavily in an ambitious programme of work to modernise and optimise their technology to aid the delivery of transformation initiatives. In a nutshell, they aim to leverage modern technology to deliver first class customer service, use data to inform service design and enable a truly agile workforce.

The recent roll out of Microsoft Office 365, coupled with the modernisation of their IT network has laid solid foundations, but they are not finished yet. An exciting programme with plenty of opportunity to lead, shape and influence their digital transformation agenda is on offer.

There has never been a better time to join South Norfolk and Broadland District Council, an ambitious and visionary partnership which forms part of the fastest growing economies in the country. They provide essential services to our residents and businesses, building better lives and stronger communities.

In 2018, the two councils overwhelmingly agreed to move forward with a collaborative partnership by establishing a single paid officer team to deliver services for the two autonomous councils.

As two high performing councils, they are committed to making the area one of the best places to live in the country. They want team members who share this ambition and who can help shape their place, transform services and exceed the expectations of their 260,000 residents, 700 staff, 10,000 businesses and communities.

With a strong history of collaboration, they are building upon this success by creating a place that moves with the times, innovates and attracts and retains the very best talent, ensuring that they provide positive futures, opportunities and career development for staff. They are committed to recruiting for the right strengths and attitude – then developing the right skills along the way.

At South Norfolk and Broadland District Council, they believe that in addition to attracting the best talent, that a culture of diversity of ideas, perspectives and opportunities, leads to the creation of better services.
